TATTOOS BY AIDIA RAYNE
BOOK AN APPOINTMENT
Hi! My name is Aidia Rayne, I’m a licensed tattoo artist out of Portland, ME with a focus on blackwork, experimental, medieval, and neo-traditional styles, but I’m open to just about anything! Here are a few things to know in advance if you’re considering booking with me:
HOW TO BOOK:
Please send all booking inquiries to tchildcoalminertattoo@gmail.com. a DM on Instagram works as well, but emailing is the preferred method.
DEPOSIT:
When we decide on an appointment date, I ask that you send a $60 deposit to secure your spot. Reschedules are allowed up to the last two days before our session, if you decide to reschedule within 48 hours of our appointment, you will have to rescind the first deposit and pay an additional $60 deposit for a new day. Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations at any point. It takes time to draw and prepare a piece of art for tattooing. Situations happen and I understand that things can be unpredictable, so please give respectful notice of changes if you are able. At the end of our session, I will subtract the $60 deposit from your total.
CONSULTATIONS:
Custom pieces may require a consultation. This is scheduled the same as an appointment would be, and can be done in-person, over email, or phone call/facetime - whichever works best for the nature of what you’re looking to get.
Please keep these questions in mind:
What is the subject of the piece(s) you’d like designed?
What is the style you'd like this in? Is there any of my work or someone else’s you could send along with other photo references so I get a clearer idea?
How big would you like the piece(s)?
Where on the body would you like this?
What is your budget?
PRICING:
Flash prices are pre-determined based on size and location, these prices are listed in the online flash book.
Pricing for custom work is variable by size, location, time and complexity. I typically charge $125-150/hr for all customs, but feel free to ask for a more specific estimate if you are on a budget. We can find a way to split the cost and make it work!
With pricing for long-term projects that we work on developing together and seeing through (sleeves, chest pieces, back pieces), there are a few options we can discuss during our consultation: I can charge an hourly rate per session, or we can decide on a day rate (we determine a price together and tattoo til you decide you’re done for the day)
I’m always happy to work within your budget by spacing out payments for larger projects and multi-session pieces, let’s talk!

LOCATION:
The studio’s address is 142 High st, suite 610 - Lionheart Tattoos, on the 6th floor of the State Theatre building in downtown Portland M.E. You can also enter through 615 Congress st, just go up the elevator and take a left when you get to floor 6 - it’s a bit of a maze on that side, keep walking down the hall and you’ll get there. If you arrive for a later appointment (past 6:30pm) the main doors to the building may be locked, I’ll meet you downstairs in that case.
The only parking available is on-street outside/near the studio. Anything immediately outside the studio is two hour paid parking, but if you’re okay with walking further, park down the hill past Cumberland ave on either High street, Park ave or State street

This is a private studio, there will be no other tattoo artists working on clients during our session. It’s a smaller space than most, so feel free to bring a friend or two, but please keep the space and possible distractions toward the artist in mind.
TO PREPARE FOR YOUR TATTOO:
Please come to our appointment well-hydrated, well-fed, and well-rested. For the best possible application of ink, outcome and healing process, avoid drinking alcohol within 24 hours prior. These things noticeably affect the way ink is injected and retained in skin, and will make the process easier for both of us!
Feel free to bring a book, headphones, blanket, pillow, anything you may want to stay comfortable and entertained during our session.
Make sure to wear something that allows access to the tattoo location, and that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty. I offer pasties and paper medical blankets for your comfort level.
Tattoos hurt! But I ask that you avoid coming to your appointment with numbing cream already applied to the location. During our session, I will most likely use bactine spray halfway through, which will numb the area and help alleviate swelling. If you want to use numbing cream before coming in, I ask that you talk with me first.
If you feel unsure about your piece at any point prior to putting the needle into the skin, PLEASE notify me. We have all the time to figure out something new. I see it for a few hours, you see it for the rest of your life.

IF YOU ARE GETTING COLOR INK
Please notify me if you have never gotten a color tattoo. Some people can be extremely allergic/sensitive to the pigments used in colored inks, especially if you happen to experience minor to severe skin sensitivities. I offer a free color patch test that can be done at the start of our session - this entails getting a little dot of the color tattooed somewhere of your choice where we can keep an eye on it for signs of rejection over a period of time. You do not have to do this if you don’t want to.
Looking forward to working with you! Please reach out with any additional questions.
